mediageek 2008-02-01: Grants and Public Broadcasting
Bill Poorman is a seven-year veteran of public broadcasting, having worked as a journalist and news director in both radio and television. Even though he contends that public broadcasting still produces the best broadcast journalism in the US, he has a critique that stems from the system’s reliance on corporate dollars and grants.
