At the National Conference for Media Reform, a coalition led by Consumers Union, the Consumer Federation of America, Free Press and Rainbow PUSH released a series of research studies investigating the facts behind the big media companies’ claims as to why they need more consolidation to survive. We listen to CU’s Gene Kimmelman, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Free Press’ Derek Turner and CFA’s Dr. Marc Cooper lay out the facts that big media would prefer to ignore.
