We also touch on Sun Times Media shutting down suburban newspaper and Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan looking into allegations that AT&T is shortchanging public access channels on its U-Verse service.

mediageek 1 Jan 2009 part 2 – FCC Enforcement Action 2008

In the second half of the Jan. 1 program guest John Anderson and I talked about the FCC’s record of enforcement action against unlicensed and pirate broadcasters in 2008. Hot spots continue to be New York and Miami, though there’s reasons to doubt that FCC action is resulting in any significant decrease in piracy.

mediageek 20 November 2008 – Part 2 of interview with Tom Roe

The live broadcast of mediageek goes for a full hour, although only 30 minutes is posted for syndication and podcast. I’ve posted the 2nd half of a few shows, but I’ve got a pretty good backlog going on right now.

Here’s the 2nd half of last Thursday’s show featuring Tom Roe, program director for free103point9. It’s not a full half-hour because the show only ran about 45 minutes due to a Northwestern Women’s Basketball broadcast running a little late.
